Neutrals are never boring! To get the most out of a neutral palette, you simply need to add visual contrast from within this intriguing family of colors. And neutrals are quite intriguing; in many ways, they are “off the grid” in the sense that they don’t appear on the color wheel. For this reason, you can rent tablecloths in unconventional colors like silver and still remain within the neutral range. Metallics are a great way to add interest, as are other shiny fabrics. Another option is to look for colors within the same family to show a range of tones, or to contrast sharply between dark and light or warm and cool colors.
